This floor lamp is an essetial component of providing your parrot with UVA and UVB when they cannot be taken out of doors. This lamp features a sturday base and metal shaft coupled with a flimsier plastic arm that holds the the lamp and shade. It extends easily above the cage even with a playtop on it. Adjustments are multiple but the adjustment mechanisms look and feel weak. Not a bad product and certainly good for its purpose but it could be built better.
